From the recording There’s a Letter
Newly remastered track “There’s a letter” tells the story of shaming others, but how can you really shame others while we are constantly distracted by media, telephones, etc.? Scarlet Letters have less significance now. People clapped in the stocks go ignored as people have other fleeting concerns! A slow, pulsating quasi-dirge with multi-layered vocals, seventies inspired Leslie guitars and sumptuous piano and keys. You might experience the sting of feeling ashamed, but will anyone notice?
